Australian TSD measurements completed
The Danish Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) owned by the
Danish Road Directorate (DRD) has measured Down Under in Australia.
DRD has fulfilled a contract with the Australian states, New South Wales and Queensland regarding bearing capacity of more than 18000 km of roads.
The co-operation is a great step forward for the Danish road research.
The Danish TSD has now returned to Denmark. The results of the measurements was presented in a paper at the 24th ARRB conference Oct. 2010,
with the title Continuous bearing capacity profile of 18,000 km Australian road network in 5 months
